KEY ATTRACTIONS

Govt. of Madhya Pradesh

OBJECTIVES

The Series of Summit will focus on processed food, with

a view to increase business opportunities and

investments by meeting the following objectives:

• Bring together industry, academia and policy

agencies on a common platform.

• Make prospective investors and policy makers

aware of the emerging opportunities and strategic

thrust areas.

• To study the opportunities and challenges in Food

processing & allied sectors.

• Forge global partnerships between nations by

highlighting common priorities.

• Share and learn best practices in technologies/

innovations and management practices.

• Enumerate policy recommendations for the state

and central governments through a dialogue

process.

The Food Parks hold potential of portraying India as hot destination for

investment on the same line what has been done by IT Parks. The

Madhya Pradesh Government set up the mega food parks in a public-

private-partnership (PPP) mode. Madhya Pradesh is an ideal

destination in India for investment due to its strategic Central

location, availability of resources and infrastructure. There is

vast opportunity to invest in Agri and Food based Industries.

ASSOCHAM feels the need to provide a platform to facilitate

investments and business opportunities in this rapidly

growing sector; food processing and value addition. The

opportunities are huge in this sector owing to rising demand

and consumption as well as changing food habits of the

consumers.

A program of one-to-one meetings with participants identified

prior to the show would be available to all visitors who will have

limited time and customized needs. This will also provide a platform

for the stakeholders to exchange views and learn from each other so

as to forge better linkages within and outside India.
