Diversity Budget The Process
• Finalized event timeline
• As a group, we identified the different cost assumptions (e.g. $/head, # of people, length of time, on/off campus, room size)
• Estimated cost by category for each event
• Proposed a final budget amount for approval
• Tracked actual spending for each event and reconciled with Marli on a quarterly basis
Diversity BudgetTake-Aways
• First planned and tracked budget for the team
• Actual spending was 29% below forecasted budget• Provided guidelines for spending (e.g. food $) and re-enforced FM budget policy (e.g. meal/no meal)• Obtained ProCard, eliminating the need to use personal funds
• Tracked actual spending
• Increased efficiency of the approval process

• Performances reflected the diverse cultures FM employees
• An audience of over 100 of FM’s Employees (50%) attended the talent show
