Rotary Youth to Willow ( Rebounds and Inbounds) Rebounds Sarah Gucker (Thailand) and Brandon Castle (South Africa) jumped right into presenting their exchanges, going back to school, and joinied other rebounds in Willow for debriefing exercises while Lita our new inbound learned to make goals and plan for her year. All the while they networked with other Inbounds who will remain for a year. YEO (Youth Exchange Officer) joined the students on their trip. Rebounds have a chance to go to Anchorage for Winter Orientation. To be accepted they have to write an essay and help recruit new Outbounds for next year. !

&Steve!Rydeen!from!our!club!is!working!hard!getting!the!RI!websites,!OpenClass,!and!Box!and!first!assignments!up!and!running!and!finished.!!Other!First!City!folks!!in!the!Leadership!Academy!are:!Susan!Bethel!and!Rosie!Roppel!(instructors).!!Other!Ketchikan!folks!in!the!Academy!are!Julie!Isom!(eclub)!and!Christine!Dahl!(Rotary!2000).!!They!are!encouraged!to!collaborate!on!assignments!but!must!take!their!tests!by!themselves.!!This!is!a!great!way!to!learn!about!the!makeup!of!Rotary!locally,!District!wide,!and!Internationally.!!

Interact&of&Kayhi&

&Cathy&Gucker&!is!the!advisor!for!Rotary!Interact!of!Kayhi.!!She!reports!that!the!Interact!Officers!went!to!Schoenbar!to!meet!with!their!Rotary!Interact!of!Schoenbar!to!!encourage!them!and!let!them!know!about!RYLA!when!they!get!to!Kayhi!and!to!let!them!know!what!a!great!organization!they!have!joined!!!At!Kayhi,!Interact!is!a!student!led!organization!that!encourages!our!Rotarians!to!join!in!on!certain!projects.!!They!had!gone!to!Schoenbar!last!spring!too.!!
