• A fire alarm system is number of devices working together to detect and warn people through visual and audio appliances when smoke, fire, carbon monoxide or other emergencies are present.

• Alarms may be activated from smoke detectors, and heat detectors.

• A smoke detector is a device that senses smoke, typically as an indicator of fire.

Introduction

Problem Statement

• Many houses don’t have a fire alarm system so we need to design a fire alarm system using the digital logic system that all family members can use in single-family residences.

• It must be able to detect fires at all locations, residents must be able to activate it from convenient locations themselves, and it must alert residents in all portions of the house.

• To study the working principle of fire alarm and smoke detecting system.

• To design, construct and fire alarm system and smoke detector using digital system.

• To implement digital logic design in the project.

• To discover fires early in their development when time will still be available for the safe evacuation of occupants.

Switch C is the main switch which is must always be

ON in order to activate the whole system.

Then, Inputs A&B can trigger the alarm when A

OR B is ON. Here the unique of the system, if we switch OFF inputs A&B the timer will ON and count up

from 0 to 3 second.

After 3 second it will automatically OFF the

water sprinkler and alarm.

Conclusion

• Our project still need to be improve with proper timer reset using the component that has reset on timer so that the system will operate without adding the 2 AND gate as reset/stopper for timer counting. In real situation.

• This projects need a lot of addition to be modified such as backup system, including water system and add another indicator for alert surrounding.

• We has learn how to be logic in alarm system from this project. This is the basic idea for fire alarm system. For more, the circuit will more complex and bigger than this.
