• Community Nursing Diagnosis 1• Ineffective health maintenance among the citizens of University City

r/t lack of knowledge regarding asthma maintenance, triggers, medications, treatment of early warning signs  AEB statistical data showing increase incidence of asthma among the younger population in the community, increased prevalence in the St. Louis area, and increasing EMS calls regarding asthma in the younger population

• Community Nursing Diagnosis 2• At risk for cardiac dysfunction (MI, dysrhythmia, stroke) among the

citizens of University City r/t sedentary lifestyle, smoking, stress, nutritional choices, medication noncompliance AEB statistical data gathered from the community (cardiac illness and morbidity) and EMT reports.
