Day 2(1200 - 1230)

Average

Garden Outside Printing Centre 30.6 29.7 30.15

2

Site BReasons for temperature at that area- Vegetation- Some shade from trees- Cloud Cover- Concrete path

Site C:Open Area

Outside Canteen

Day 2(1200 - 1230)

Average

Running Track 30.4 29.8 30.1

3

Site FReasons for temperature at that area- No Shade- Synthetic rubber track- Cloud cover / Direct sunlight

Site G:Fountain Area

Sites

Temperatures 1.5 m above ground (°C) Hottest (1)

Coolest (7)Day 1 (1140 - 1200)

Day 2(1200 - 1230)

Average

Fountain Area Outside General Office 29.1 28.8 28.95

Average temperature for concrete flooring: 29.05°C

Average temperature for non-concrete

floorings: 29.9 °C

Sites

Temperatures 1.5 m above ground (°C)Hottest (1)Coolest (7)

Type of Flooring

Day 1 (1140 - 1200)

Day 2(1200 - 1230)

4 Grass

Running Track 30.4 29.8 30.1

3 Synthetic Rubber

Places with concrete flooring are in fact cooler than those with non-concrete flooring

Possible Reasons for Observations:

1. Cloud cover and position of sun at that time2. Human and experimental error.3. Different time arrived at site could affect temperature

takings.4. Confined space VS open space5. Difference in standing position ( In shade of in the sun)

Thank You!
