Ideal for patch leads, pigtails, test leads, etc.
Simplex tight jacketed cables are designed to be used in patch leads and pigtails orfor connections within buildings. Zip Twin cables, often referred to as Duplex cables,are constructed with two Simplex units joined together by a central web. These tightjacketed cables utilise 900 micron buffered fiber and are constructed into 2.8 mmcables. In addition, Mini Zip Twin cable is also available, using 600 micron buffers.

Multitube Loose Tube cables are available in constructions from 4 tubes upwards. Each tube can contain up to 12 fibers. The individually identifiable optical fibers are contained within the gel-filled polymeric tubes stranded around a nonmetallic central strength member. E-Glass peripheral strength members provide extrastrengthening and resistance to rodents. LLDPE outer jacket material as standard.

Applications:
Ideal for direct burial in the ground and other external applications where higher protection is required. It is also applicable for installation in ducts and for other externalrequirements, e.g. structured wiring systems in networks for telecoms, cable TV andbroadcasting. Its non-metallic core permits installation in high voltage environments.Suitable in areas subject to regular or permanent flooding.
CST Armored cables consist of one tube containing up to 24 optical fibers or multiple tubes each containing up to 12 optical fibers. Water blocking E-glassstrength members surround the tube(s) and a plastic coated corrugated steel tape is longitudinally applied. A black LDPE outer jacket is standard.

GRP Armored cables consist of one tube containing up to 24 optical fibers or multiple tubes each containing up to 12 optical fibers. GRP crush resistant rods are helically stranded around the loose tube, providing significant extra strength and resistance to rodents. A PE jacket is then applied.

Fire Survival Cables contain up to 24 individually identifiable fibers within a single gel filled loose tube, which is then strengthened with E-glass strength members andoversheathed with an ULSZH jacket. The cable is further protected by a layer of corrugated steel tape and a second jacket of ULSZH material. This cable has beendeveloped specifically to meet the requirements of IEC 60794 and IEC 60331-25 (circuit integrity).
