FEBRUARY REFLECTION 2020

MUSEUM EXCURISON
Through these special events and extra curricular activities, we aim to further develop
critical and creative thinking and personal and social capabilities.
The 3-6 Theme unit for Term 1 focuses on
‘Our First People’’. Students have been
learning about the daily life and the
significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander people in Australian history.
Recently, we visited the Melbourne
Museum to further our studies in this
area. It was a great day and the student's
enjoyed this experience.

BUILDING UPDATE
We are finally nearing the completion of the building works to create a new Administration facility and do a major facelift to both the Mirrabooka building and the main wing. By the end of this term the builders will have moved from the site along with all of the temporary fencing, their portable toilet block and site storage shed. It has been a long process, but one that we think has been well worth it. Our school certainly looks a lot better as a result of the works that have been completed.

UPGRADE OF THE SCHOOL HALL!
At our first School Council Meeting for 2020, approval was given for work to be done on the
external walls, windows, doors, etc. of our school Hall. This is exciting news, as it will mean
that when complete, our Hall will match in with the facelifts that have been done on our oth-
er buildings. This work is planned to commence in the upcoming school holidays and should
be completed during Term 2.
