family insight synchronizing

Synchronizing allows you to contribute information from you PAF to the Common Pedigree and allows you to bring in new information from the Common Pedigree into your PAF

In Your PAF go to Tools and then to Family Insight

Choose “Sync with FamilySearch family tree”

Log in with the user name and password you created for the New FamilySearch

You will want to update your file with new information from FamilySearch/Family Tree

This screen will show if you have not edited places through FamilyInsight.

Step #2:

Click theSearchbutton

Step #1: Select and individual

Step #3:Compareeach itemand chosematch or not match

Step #4: click Ready to Sync with a green background

Step #5:select

whatis to bemoved

You decide to Replace mine, Add as #1, Add as New, or Ignore

Step #6: ClickSynchroniz

Step #7:ClickSave

You can add individuals to the Common Pedigree database if you find no matches

Select a Ready to Add and make sure it should be added

To add itto theCommonPedigreeClick theAdd icon at the top ofthe window
