It’s All about the Girls! The Fall Rally
The Fall Sales Rally was a chance for Girl Scouts, parents, leaders and
the community to come together to help generate even more excitement
in the air than was already there for Fall Sales.
Below is a photo from an article in The Summerville Journal Scene.
These Daisy Girl Scouts could not be more adorable! They were perfect
to represent us in their small-town community newspaper.
Please welcome Communications Manager, Donna Lee. Donna is
a lifelong Charleston resident who joined us in mid-October. She
has a fun and vast network of political figures and movers and
shakers. She is very well-connected in media since she comes to us
with twenty years broadcast experience. Most recently, she spent
ten years as Radio Free Rocky D’s award-winning producer and
sidekick. She has been an on-air traffic reporter for Charleston TV
and radio, an on-air personality with an 80’s show and news
anchor for news/talk including news reports for several years for
Columbia’s WIS. She remains employed part-time with Cumulus
Charleston and still fills in as Producer for the Tara Servatius
Show.
SPECIAL TECHNOLOGY UPDATE
While we are waiting for a web re-design
initiative trickling down to councils from
GSUSA’s IT communications department, we
have secured and built a mobile website, as
our current site is not mobile friendly. There
is a reciprocal link on our full (desktop) site at
www.girlscoutsesc.org to our mobile site at
www.m.girlscoutsesc.mobi.
We have also begun to add a QR Code (quick
response) to the GSESC Paypal donation page
so that readers of our materials can easily,
securely give to us on the spot with just a click
of their smartphone. It’s an easy, fast,
convenient way to donate online.

Oh, the Places you’ll go!
The girls of GSESC are EVERYWHERE!
GSESC CEO Loretta Graham spent the last part of Fall and the first part
of Winter making quite the media splash. The Girl Scouts of Eastern
SC have formed solid relationships with local media. This has included
TV news coverage of 3 of our 3 events by at least one station,
sometimes two.
