Centro La Familia History• Centro La Familia is a community based non-profit organization that has

served low income families throughout Fresno County for over 30 years. Founded in 1972 to provide direct advocacy and intervention services to low-income residents. Centro's mission is to empower low-income people to access life sustaining resources and become self-sufficient through education, training and social services.

• Over the years, CLFA has evolved from a small, urban centered organization to an agency providing social services and educational programs for many ethnic, underserved, low-income families. Although clients come for services from all over the county, CLFA has become a multi-service center, with advocate staff out-stationed in remote underserved rural communities providing social services on a weekly basis.

• Our services are provided to all eligible individuals without regard to race, sex, age, religion, disability or national origin. Centro's services are delivered in a culturally sensitive, confidential manner to enhance the strengths, values and traditions of our clients in English and Spanish. All information we obtain from our clients is strictly confidential
