  • National Nursery Rhyme week : 18th 22nd November . Sing your favorite nursery rhymes.

    Come to school dressed as your fa-vourite nursery rhyme character on Friday 22nd Novem-ber

    EYFS and KS1 Christ-mas Show:

    Monday 16th De-cember and Tuesday 17th December at 1.30pm

    Getting creative, we’ll make constellations out of battery-operated tea lights, and star mobiles out of silver sequins

    and glittery pompoms.

    The World

    We’ll learn about people and services that work at night, the

    Hubble Telescope and nocturnal animals. We’ll also find out

    more about how good bedtime routines can have a positive im-

    pact on our health, and take part in a series of bedtime chal-

    lenges. Ready, steady, brush your teeth!

    Children will be encouraged to talk about their favourite bedtime stories . We will be listening to a variety of sto-ries and children will be re-

    telling their own versions

    EYFS– Autumn 2 Star Light Star Bright

    This half term in EYFS, the children will be exploring the topic ’Star Light

    Star Bright’. We’ll listen carefully to a presentation about the patterns of

    the stars, and ask questions about the universe. Snuggling up with comfy

    cushions and blankets, we’ll listen to bedtime stories and nursery rhymes.

    Zzz.. In our mathematics lessons, we’ll look at Rangoli patterns, star con-

    stellations and moon shapes. Some of the festivals and celebrations we will

    explore include, Diwali, Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day and Christmas

    These are just a few of the texts we will be looking into during our shared

    Literacy sessions.
