COLAI Activities
Dear Student,
We here at COLAI want everyone to be involved in new and exciting activities. All students should be aiming to participate in some sort of activity that contributes towards the five foundations of character development: sports, creativity, performing, volunteering and membership, and activities related to the world of work.
Lunchtime and after-school clubs offer a fun way to make new friends while
trying new activities and developing new skills. As well as being enjoyable,
participating in extra-curricular activities will help you become more involved in
wider Academy life.
This booklet shows you the different clubs operating each day of the week.
Some clubs are intended for specific year groups, while others are open to all.
Most clubs operate on a weekly basis and we expect you to show commitment
to the club or clubs that you choose to attend.
It would be fantastic to see all students attend at least one club each week.
Students will receive house points for attending clubs which will increase your
total tally each half term with prizes to be won by students for participation.
Finally, please don’t forget to tell your parents which after-school clubs you
plan to attend so that they know to expect you home later on those days.
Mr D Dunscombe
Assistant Principal
