Marco Polo was an Italian

explorer who discovered Asia.

Early LifeMarco Polo was born in the year 1254 in Venice,

Italy.

Marco did not go to school but he learned to read and

write in Italian .

His Father Niccolo and his uncle Maffeo were

merchants.

First Job

Marco Polo traveled

from Venice to China in 1271 with his father

and uncle. It took them 4 years to get

Journeys

Marco Polo traveled to china when he was 17 and asia when he

was 34.

The Silk Road The silk road is not

really a road. It is just a path Marco used it to go from vince to

China and back again.

1254-Marco Polo is born, in Italy

1269-Marco meet his father for the first time

1271-Marco set off to Asia for an adventure

1295-Return to Venice

1297-Went to Prison and one of his prisoners wrote the traveles of Marco

1299-Relised from prison

1300-Marco got married

1324-Marco dies
