Evolution of DPS

The Background image for my double page spread was the last image in my third photoshop.

I then decided to enhance the colour and adjust the background to black and white.

I then added a black rectangle to allow for a suitable background to the white coloured text.

I then added the text and the title to the image for the main article on the page leaving some space for a quote.

I then added the box for the quotation in the house colour. And then placed the quotation in the box.

After this I added the page numbers and also a small line of text that names me as the photographer.

Overall I found the production of my double page spread quite easy at times however it took much time to create the layout and also to edit the image to have a black and white background. Furthermore I found it extremely difficult to correctly format the image and had to experiment with adjustments to; contrast, colour, and shadow. This was extremely difficult to produce as it required a lot of time experimenting to find the correct tones for skin and this resulted in the blue coloured highlights of my subjects hair. However I found that these coloured highlights were not exactly out of place yet added to the rebellious and youthful image I had been trying to represent since the beginning of the production.
