i n t r o d u c t i o n

As an artist and graphic designer I consider portfolio being the best way to provide the work skills and experience - actual samples say more than an approval for obtained education. I’ve started my designer career soon after starting my studies - that allowed me to use theory I learnt in real practice. I started my career by working as a web designer while I learnt more and therefore became able to manage different kinds and forms of design. I grew into becoming a desktop publisher next to web design creation, since University gave me an option to understand and learn different ways of art and design. My portfolio includes work I’m proud of and that give an understanding about my software skills, creativity and artistic level in general.

PRINT BIBLE is the book project I’ve based on my bachelor’s work topic and final end product (educational pocket guide for designers and related for understantanding processes of designing, image retouching, press etc.). Pocket guide as bachelor’s final end project and wish to continue work on a more detailed media creation has lead to an idea of a pocket size book. Work is still in progress due the huge amount of information to be filtered and adapted in a compact and specific form. All the contents are self designed and written, based on a theory of media.

Book includes topics starting with basics (color spaces, how do colors work, what are color profiles) moving to steps of actual designing process - choice of paper and recommended color profiles, layout setup (explaining terms - cropmarks, bleeds, overprint etc.) and leading to a preparation for press (file extensions, compression, fonts, outlines, rasterizing etc.).
