The share of roof-top installations has increased and now it represents nearly 70% of themarketCommercial and industrial installations represent nearly half of the market
Residential: ≤ 3 kWCommercial: ≤ 100 kW
Industrial: ≤ 500 kWGround mounted: ≤2.5 MW

Financial incentives (covering PVoperation) (net-metering and FIT) willprobably be progressively phased outInstruments to decrease PV CAPEX willbe necessary: Renewable PortfolioStandards? ESCOs?Instruments to decrease the cost ofcapital will be neededNeed to facilitate access to « tailor-made » loans

The European Investment Bank can in principle support PV projects:• investment cost < 25 M EUR: the EIB provides intermediate loans through banks and other
intermediaries… but lending decision and specific conditions remain with the intermediaryinstitutions
• Investment cost < 25 M EUR and borne by an SME: the « Green Initiative » funding and technicalassistance
• Investment cost > 25 M EUR (e.g. a group of separate PV projects): the EIB provides grants (> 2billion EUR between 2002 and 2013)
Possibility of ring-fenced budget for low carbon projects, including PV, as of 2014 withinstructural funds.
