Multiple Solutions Available Now• *Efficient workflow creating NIMAS/NIMAC files (costs currently at $1.50
page) available on request or editorial decision
• *For those severely visually impaired, a fully accessible alternative eBook platform (called HTMLBook) with content in NIMAS format
• For those less severely impaired, eText supports ultra sharp content zoom (default up to 300%) in all client apps (Mac/Win/iOS/Android)
• *For all forms of visual impairment, all clients support multiple Audio options that allow for any level of audio explanation
• All clients are compatible with OS-based accessibility features like zoom
• Support for basic navigation via keyboard shortcuts for those with manipulative disabilities
• New Digital Library is HTML5 and will be tested and optimized this Fall
* Currently used extensively by School to meet accessibility requirements
NexText (HTML5/EPUB3) Coming BTS ‘13
• New PML 2.0 based on HTML5/EPUB3 being rolled out now
• NIMAS conversions for all PML 2.0 titles will be created
• Digital Library will support NexText and existing eText products (could also support HTMLBook versions if needed for BTS ‘13)
• NexText clients (Mac/Win/iOS/Android) will fully support all native accessibility controls (specific details vary by platform)
• All media content accessibility controls will be supported and additional audio controls (as found in eText) will be implemented
• Integrated workflow is full committed to supporting the creation of accessible content
