Reed Intermediate School, 3 Trades Lane, Newtown, CT 06470. The sale will open at
9.00 AM on July 8, and run Saturday from 9.00-5.00, Sunday 9.00-5.00, Monday 9.00-
7.00, Tuesday 9.00-7.00, and Wednesday 9.00-12.00; $5.00 admission is charged
Saturday only, all other days are free admission, Saturday tickets will go on sale at 7.00
AM Saturday. Monday is half price day, Tuesday is $5.00 per bag sale; Wednesday all
remaining books are free, though contributions are always welcome. Directions can be

complete on September 28, 1988.” Number 4 of 175 copies, pencil signed by Nesbitt.
With an extra woodcut, also pencil signed. The woodcuts are printed in color, the extra
print, limited to the first five numbered copies, “hand-rubbed.” Copies 1-5 bound in full
goatskin, by Fritz and Trudi Eberhardt. Together with promotional material for the book,
a Christmas card from the Nesbitt family, and a handwritten 2-page letter from Alex

sold at retail price to avoid price cutting destroying the market. On page 53 is a pasted in
money back guarantee offering reimbursement plus 2 cents for any merchant who has
had to refund the purchase price to a customer. WorldCat 15024365 lists two copies only
(NY Academy of Medicine, Hagley Museum), with no mention of the paste in additions,
though they were obviously planned for the book. Very good. $150.00

New York”. Metcalf was divorced from the artist William Metcalf, mother of two

including Addison, lover of the sculptress Thelma Ellen Wood, friend and translator of
Collette. Ladybird Cleveland was a frequent model for Van Vechten’s photographs.
Hoffentstein was a writer himself, and a script writer for the movie The Wizard of Oz.
Book some wear at edges, darkening at backstrip; Tow-Headed Blind Boy unopened,
minor soiling and foxing; photographic postcard, letters and envelopes all in very good
condition. The collection: $400.00
