AnalyzeThe analysis phase is one of the most essential components of the ADDIE model. It consists of devising a learner needs assessment to determine:
a. Why training is needed
b. The mode of delivery
c. Instructional Strategies
d. Constraints
e. Formative Assessment
f. Learning objectives
Design
During the design phase of the part of the instructional design process where learning experiences are created:
a. Designing assessments
b. Choosing the correct course format
c. Developing Instructional Strategies (my favorites are Gagne’s 9 events, and Dick and Carey)
Develop
During the development phase the following will be conducted:
A. Creating a prototype of the training (to ensure satisfaction)
B. Develop course materials while having feedback from the SME in mind.
C. Conduct a Run through of instruction
Implement
Implementation is the part of the ADDIE model where learning experiences take place. There are three components for implementation:
A. Prepare the learners for the mode of delivery
B. Train the instructor( Instructor Led Training)
C. Test multimedia software
Evaluate
This phase is one of the most important phases of the ADDIE model. This phase involves reflection of the instructional designer to make improvements.
1. Formative Evaluation (testing whether the training met the objectives and user experience)
2. Summative Evaluation (reaction, learning, behavior results)
