funding applications will be provided Applicants must complete agreed
milestones which may include a short report
Training will not be provided applicants should have gained knowledge and experience through the enterprise options available
Timescale
Funding will be awarded on thesis submission
Staged funding may apply on completion of milestones
Applications can be made at any time but more notice is better

Biotechnology YES (Young Entrepreneurs Scheme) Is an innovative competition developed to raise awareness of the commercialisation of bioscience ideas among bioscience research students and postdoctoral scientists.
Last year Newcastle hosted a regional heat, two teams reached the national finals and both were awarded prizes. We hope for similar success this year.

Currently the Enterprise Scholarship Scheme is being supported by the EPSRC and the Faculty of Medical Sciences Graduate School
Limiting the scholarships to the areas of Engineering, Physical, Medical, Health and Life Sciences
We are hopeful that initial scholarships will be successful and further funding may become available
