Engineering College Ajmer (An Autonomous Institution of Government of Rajasthan)
1 2019-20 ANNUAL REPORT
Message from the Principal
I feel privileged to present the Second Annual Report of Engineering College Ajmer for the
session 2019-20.
This Annual Report is a showcase of all the activities undertaken by the institute and the
achievements of students as well as the employees. It clearly reflects the direction in which
our institute is progressing. We came to know about some areas in which, there was a scope
of improvement. I am happy to declare that the team ECA worked hard to improve in all those
areas and we succeeded also, may it be achieving “A” grade from the university, Silver
ranking in CII survey, the highest number of selections in GATE, Industrial MOU’s, and effec-
tive utilization of TEQIP-III funds, organizing first Alumni Meet, acquiring 80G certificate,
associating donors from the society and many more but still, some of the areas are there in
which we need to further improve.
As all of us know that due to COVID-19, a significant part of second half of this session has
been affected adversely. The NBA inspection couldn’t happen. Whole scenario got changed
drastically. Still, we are proud to announce that a large number of online lectures were
prepared and provided to the students to compensate for the loss of their academics. I am
thankful to all the faculty members who adopted the new normal very smoothly and acted
accordingly in the interest of the students.
I am heartily thankful to the Hon’ble President, Board of Governors, Engineering College
Society, Ajmer and Minister of Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Rajasthan,
Dr Subhash Garg for his visionary leadership and inspiration, the Secretary, Respected Smt.
Shuchi Sharma for their continuous motivation and encouragement, the Joint Secretary,
Department of Technical Education, Respected Shri Anil Agarwal and Dr Manish Gupta for
their guidance and all other officials of Department of Technical Education,Govt. of Rajasthan
for their kind support. I am thankful to each and every member of ECA family for their
untiring efforts in the interest of the institute.
I would like to congratulate the Annual Report Preparation Committee, Engineering College,
Ajmer for their efforts in preparing this report.

Electronics Instrumentation & Control Engineering
Department of Electronic Instrumentation & Control Engineering was established with the objective of
imparting quality education and Research in the field of Instrumentation & Control engineering and ful-
fills growing needs of industry with quality Professionals. We always welcome brightest students and
well-Qualified Faculty in tandem with overall development of individual as well Department.
Engineering College Ajmer (An Autonomous Institution of Government of Rajasthan)
32 2019-20 ANNUAL REPORT
The department has conducted many AICTE/TEQIP sponsored workshops. Our Staff members are spe-
cialized in thrust areas of technology and updating their knowledge by attending conferences, workshops
and short-term courses and MOCK, swayam NPTEL online courses etc.
We provide our students opportunities to engagein experiments, design work, project work, indus-
trial training, seminars, and team work to enhance the learning process that is so vital for a holistic en-
gineering education. They develop skills of inquiring and exploring new idea so n their own. Inessence,
they are well prepared for the life-long learning that is vital for an enriching career in engineering
Programmes Offered: Bachelor (B.Tech.) Degree in Electronics Instrumentation and Control Engineer-
ing with intake of 60, plus 12 lateral entry students.
Facilities in the Department: The Department has a dedicated computer center with all systems net-
worked through LAN. Our Department Lab facility includes Instrumentation, Process Control, Control
System, Digital IC‟s, and Data conversion, Electronics Circuits, Analog IC‟s, MATLAB, LABVIEW,
Biomedical Instrumentation, transducer, Antenna Microprocessor, Micro-controller and DSP Labs. The
students of some departments are carrying out their laboratories in our department. These laboratories are
being used for conducting experiments for B.Techstudents for their regular course work and also for re-
search purposes. Few more laboratories have also been created to cater to the needs of research scholars.
These laboratories provide facilities for research and are being used by faculty and Students.
Vision
The department strives to enrich professionals of high competency by providing quality education to
meet the industrial and social needs.
Mission
To excel in engineering knowledge as per curriculum to meet demand for professionals compe-
tency and industry.
To promote the technical and social activities with high ethical values to serve the society.
To encourage individuals to update their knowledge and carryout advanced research

and communication technologies along with the basic electronic components, design of circuits and sys-
tems.
The programmes are designed to produce professional Engineers who are capable of analyzing, specify-
ing, designing, commissioning and maintaining complex electronic communications systems to enable
continuous improvements in standards of living enjoyed by society through the ingenuity of engineers.
The courses open up a very wide range of employment opportunities, firstly by providing students with a
comprehensive ground in engineering and electronics principles and then by allowing specialization that
enables them to focus on a particular area of technology. This focus can be further enhanced by an ap-
propriate choice of final-year project topic, which offers students an opportunity to acquire skills and ex-
perience in areas not otherwise covered by the main modules on the course.
Vision
To achieve academic excellence by providing quality education in different dimensions of Electronics
And Communication Engineering.
Mission
To provide excellence in education and research among students using tools and techniques of
electronics and communication engineering.
To build and develop skills, expertise and ethical values among students for employment, entre-
preneurship and societal use.
To inculcate the thirst of life-long learning of advanced technologies to reach heights of excel-
lence globally.

The nation's starting to see a massive growth in start-ups with so many budding entrepreneurs who are
still students. Now, quite recently, Government of India launched the Start-up India, Stand India cam-
paign to support start-ups and to provide all basic necessities to them and also making the government
norms easy, so that they could only focus on their business development exclusively. So, the Entrepre-
neurship Development Cell Engineering College, Ajmer establishes Start-up cell on the basis of Start-up
India Policies on Dec 2017 in EC Ajmer to add on to this thought, shedding light on the various policies
of Start-up India under this cell, conducting the lectures, parting knowledge to the students about the var-
ious policies, the pros and cons of the same and how to go about them.
Our vision is to raise the economy of our country using full potential of the innovative minds of the
country and to raise the overall quality of life in our country. Startup helps in the development of coun-
tries entrepreneurial environment by providing easy and effective interaction of the student body, expe-
