Supporting Module Implementation: Developing a Plan

Greeting• What worked well in professional development

in your school last year? • What do you wish would have been done

differently? • Each participant should share name, role,

district and answer the PD questions as a way to introduce themselves at tables.

A Tale of Two Schools• Case Study A and Case Study B are two

examples of Module Implementation and Professional Development.

• Start with Case Study A. Read and discuss: What are the strengths of this plan? What might go wrong with this plan? What should the principal do next?

• Then do the same with Case Study B.• Spend 10 minutes per case study.

Your Turn• Use the Supported Planning Task Card to

guide your work for the next hour.• Think of all that you have learned about

change (CBAM) and feedback, and think about the case studies you just examined as you work.

• Expeditionary Learning staff are here for ideas, feedback, and probing conversations.
