FACTORS OF THE

DISENGAGED

Outside Social Factors

Family issues, pressures from friends, even abusy extracurricular schedule can cause astudent to not be present in the classroom.

LowLevel Understanding

It is much easier to give up and stop payingattention than it is to ask for help.

Teaching Style

A student may be a hands on, visual learner, but a particular teacher relies on a lecture styleof teaching. These two styles of learning andteaching do not mesh and can cause a student

to become uninterested.
