“And I will give power to my two witnesses,
and they will prophesy one thousand two
hundred and sixty days, clothed in
sackcloth.”
“One witness shall not rise against a man
concerning any iniquity or any sin that he
commits; by the mouth of two or three
witnesses the matter shall be established.”
But if they will not listen, take one or two
others along, so that ‘every matter may be
established by the testimony of two or three
witnesses.’
7 And He called the twelve to Himself, and
began to send them out two by two, and
gave them power over unclean spirits.
After these things the Lord appointed
seventy others also, and sent them two by
two before His face into every city and
place where He Himself was about to go.
“He shall judge the world in righteousness,
and He shall administer judgment for the
peoples in uprightness.”
And those who dwell on the earth will
rejoice over them, make merry, and send
gifts to one another, because these two
prophets tormented those who dwell on the
earth.
2 And he said to me, “What do you see?”
So I said, “I am looking, and there is a
lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top
of it, and on the stand seven lamps with
seven pipes to the seven lamps.
3 Two olive trees are by it, one at the right
of the bowl and the other at its left.” 4 So I
answered and spoke to the angel who
talked with me, saying, “What are these,
my lord?”
38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he
went around doing good and healing all
who were under the power of the devil,
because God was with him.
Neither do people light a lamp and put it
under a bowl. Instead they put it on its
stand, and it gives light to everyone in the
house.
And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of
Gilead, said to Ahab, "As the LORD God of
Israel lives, before whom I stand, there
shall not be dew nor rain these years,
except at my word."
“And if anyone wants to harm them, fire
proceeds from their mouth and devours
their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm
them, he must be killed in this manner.
29 If these men die naturally like all men,
or if they are visited by the common fate of
all men, then the Lord has not sent me.
30 But if the Lord creates a new thing, and
the earth opens its mouth and swallows
them up with all that belongs to them, and
they go down alive into the pit, then you will
understand that these men have rejected
the Lord.”
31 Now it came to pass, as he finished
speaking all these words, that the ground
split apart under them,
32 and the earth opened its mouth and
swallowed them up, with their households
and all the men with Korah, with all their
goods.
33 So they and all those with them went
down alive into the pit; the earth closed
over them, and they perished from among
the assembly.
34 Then all Israel who were around them
fled at their cry, for they said, “Lest the
earth swallow us up also!”
35 And a fire came out from the Lord and
consumed the two hundred and fifty men
who were offering incense.
10 So Elijah answered and said to the
captain of fifty, “If I am a man of God, then
let fire come down from heaven and
consume you and your fifty men.” And fire
came down from heaven and consumed
him and his fifty.
Therefore thus says the LORD God of
hosts: "Because you speak this word,
behold, I will make My words in your mouth
fire, and this people wood, and it shall
devour them."
“These have power to shut heaven, so that
no rain falls in the days of their prophecy;
and they have power over waters to turn
them to blood, and to strike the earth with
all plagues, as often as they desire.”
17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours,
and he prayed earnestly that it would not
rain; and it did not rain on the land for three
years and six months.
17 Thus says the Lord: “By this you shall
know that I am the Lord. Behold, I will strike
the waters which are in the river with the
rod that is in my hand, and they shall be
turned to blood.
7 When they finish their testimony, the
beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit
will make war against them, overcome
them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street
of the great city which spiritually is called
Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord
was crucified.
9 Then those from the peoples, tribes,
tongues, and nations will see their dead
bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow
their dead bodies to be put into graves.
10 And those who dwell on the earth will
rejoice over them, make merry, and send
gifts to one another, because these two
prophets tormented those who dwell on the
earth.
“Now after the three-and-a-half days the
breath of life from God entered them, and
they stood on their feet, and great fear fell
on those who saw them.”
The nations were angry, and Your wrath
has come, And the time of the dead, that
they should be judged, And that You
should reward Your servants the prophets
and the saints,
4 The woman was arrayed in purple and
scarlet, and adorned with gold and
precious stones and pearls, having in her
hand a golden cup full of abominations and
the filthiness of her fornication.
So he answered and said to me:
“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My
Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.
