Ipswich is located just 45 minutes by road from Brisbane City and only one hour by road from the Gold Coast. It takes less than an hour by road to get to the Brisbane International Airport with that time expected to lessen once the new Legacy Way tunnel is completed which is due to open in 2015. Trains depart half hourly to Brisbane CBD with the trip taking less than an hour. Bus services are regularly available throughout Ipswich and surrounding suburbs. With the recent completion of the $350 million Darra to Springfield Rail connection, increased accessibility to the Brisbane CBD is also now possible.
