Here’s a real life Christmas story of good people helping good people help!

Barton Le Clay is a community of Fantastic people who are willing to help others whenever the need arises.

December 13th 8:00 PM

To support Barton Rotary’s Santa Sleigh goal in sponsoring young people in the village,

Annual Seniors Christmas Lunch and Tea and Air Ambulance.

Since 2007 Barton Le Clay Residents have donated over £12,000 !

We all love doing this every year because it is not only for some great charities, but also to see the children so excited and happy

Tuesday December 16th 8:30 PM Oh No!! Disaster!While we were out trying to help others we suddenly found we needed help when Santa’s Sleigh hit a pothole and severely damaged the axle and wheel.

Wednesday December17th 2:00 PM

(30 hours to deadline)

Rotary members Dickie Bird and Dick Osborn assess and attempt to repair the damage but it is too severe

Wednesday December 17th 7:30 PM

When Santa’s Helpers needed help Steve Appleby was there with his recovery vehicle!

Thursday December 18th 8:30 AM

(9 1/2 hours to deadline)

Santa had yet to visit half the homes in Barton Le Clay.“The children would be so disappointed, can my sleigh be fixed in time?”

Thursday 9:30 AM December 18th

(8 ½ hours to deadline)

Andy Smith owner of Lovells and Smith Faldo Road heard that Santa was in trouble and offered to help!

Steve delivers the sleigh to Andy and his team who are ready to swing

into action!

Andy and his team work all day to repair the damage.

Hooray they did it!

Santa and his helpers were back in action on Thursday evening on time!
