ELSA TRIOLET is a secondary school located in a rural town, called Beaucaire, in the south east of France near the Mediterranean Sea in a region called Languedoc Roussillon, more precisely on the western part of the Camargue area, in a geographic location delineated by three major cities such as : Nîmes, Arles and Avignon.

The school is labeled “high priority education”; pupils’ families can be classified as follows : a third of them is of migrant origins, they are mixed with working- and middle-class families, who are, for a large majority, grant holders.

30% of these low class pupils are coming from the South of Europe –Spain / Portugal - and Northern Africa.

The advantage of the school is to have a team of motivated teachers ready to invest their time on innovative projects.

Lately several middle class families arrived because a big residential area has been built in the outskirt of Beaucaire, parents are attracted by projects initiated within our school.

There are 520 pupils aged from 11 to 15 and 55 teachers.
