1950s–MervinEllefson gothisstartinthetruckingbusinessintheFortiesandFiftiesasadriverandmanagerforGreyVanLinesoutofCharleston,SC.

1960s– IntheEarly60’sMerv wasjoinedbyhisSon,DonwhoalsobecameadriverunderthesameVanLine.

1967– TheEllefson FamilyrelocatedfromCharleston,SCtoAugusta,GAandfoundedM.A.Ellefson &Son,nowEllefson TransportationGroup.PicturedaboveisanaerialshotoftheiroriginalwarehousespaceinAugusta.

1988- AsanagentunderGlobalVanLinesfrom1977-1977,theEllefson FamilywasactivelyinvolvedwithDonservingontheBoardofDirectorsandtheirorganizationwinningAgentoftheyearinboth1988andagainin1995.

1992– AugustaDataStorage,therecordsmanagementandshreddingsegmentoftheEllefsonTransportationGroupportfolioofcompanies,isfounded.

1996- IntheSpringof1996,constructionbeingsonanewmainofficefacilityonMikePadgettHighwayinAugusta,GA.Theprojecttookover10monthstocompletewithincreasedofficeandstoragespacefortheirgrowingbusiness.

1997- In1997theEllefsons celebratedthegrandopeningandribboncuttingoftheirnewfacilityandlaterthatyearjoinedUnitedVanLinesasanagent.

2002- AugustaDataStorageexpandstoincludeasecuredocumentshreddingservice,anoperationwhichhasgrowntoinclude3shredtrucksandanon-siteshredprocessingfacility.

2006- TheEllefsons becomeafranchiseeofGo-Mini’sPortableStorage,withtheopeningofAugustaGo-Minis.

2015– AugustaDataStorageaddsE-WasteSolutionstotheirserviceofferings,allowingtheircompanytogrowwiththedigitalage.

2016– Ellefson TransportationGroupcelebratesthegroundbreakingoftheirnew26,000sq.ft.facility,adjacenttotheircurrentofficespaceonMikePadgettHighway.TheNewSpacewillbringadditionalofficesandwarehousestoragefortheirgrowingbusiness.
