Ella’s Park Inspired by kids – designed by volunteers

We have exciting news to share with you about our community project called Ella’s Park. We are building Richmond’s first all-inclusive playground named after Ella, a girl who is blind. She is a spunky three year old with a rare condition called partial trisomy 13 which caused her to be born blind. She loves eating cookies, listening to her favorite show, Peg + Cat, and playing outside. Because of her disabilities playing outside is not always safe. That is why we would like to create a place where children of all abilities can learn and play together.
In order to make this dream come true, we have chosen to work with Leathers & Associates, a design firm that specializes in custom-design projects. They have been in business since 1971 and designed the all-inclusive playgrounds at Whittier Community Center and Ryan’s Place Park.
We are looking for a sponsorship, not a handout! When we offer you the opportunity to be a sponsor with our organization we are offering more than a place to hang your logo. We will work with you to fully maximize all the community goodwill such a project can generate. Every press release, every interview, and every event is another opportunity for us to show our sincere gratitude to those who are willing to help us make this dream come true. Unlike newsprint ads or special events that last a day, your contribution will be immortalized on our donor wall – giving your business a lifetime of recognition for your generosity. We’ve prepared a complete sponsorship package that includes a list of suggested donation amounts and various ways in which we can provide recognition.
A custom built playground, such as Ella’s Park, is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will produce a place where children in our community and the neighboring communities can explore and learn together. We thank you for your support.
