EGYPTIAN DIET AND CULTURE

HN/HL 3952 Credits- WINTER 2012

FACULTY-LEAD STUDY ABROAD

Egypt has been and is most likely to remain the epicenter of Arab/Middle Eastern culture. Its phenomenally historic revolution last year handsomely added to its unique place in the history and evolution of that region. While there are courses which cover some aspects of the Mediterranean diet and its known health-promoting factors, none exists which offers such a remarkable opportunity for students interested in studying health and/or culture in an Arabic speaking and predominantly Muslim country whose northern shore is the Mediterranean Sea.
