A NOUN IS A WORD THAT NAMES A PERSON , PLACE , THINGS , OR IDEA

COMMON NOUNS A COMMON NOUN is a general name for a person, place, thing or idea.

Common nouns are not capitalized.

Example: My teacher went to a city.

PROPER NOUNS A PROPER NOUN is the name of a particular person, place, things or idea.

Proper nouns are always capitalized.

Example: Mrs. Sandy went to Atlanta.

SINGULAR NOUNS A SINGULAR NOUN names one person, place, thing or idea.

Example: The boy walked down the street.

ONLY ONE

PLURAL NOUNS A PLURAL NOUN names more than one person, place, thing or idea.

Example: The boys walked down all of the streets.
