WurundjeriEducation Sessions

The Wurundjeri people (Woi-Wurrung language group) are the traditional Custodians of the Melbourne and

surrounding lands. Wurundjeri Country extends from the Werribee River in the West, the Great Dividing Range to the

North, Mt Baw Baw in the East, Cranbourne in the South, Port Phillip Bay at Mordialloc Creek and extends

around the coast back to the Werribee River.

Connect with Wurundjeri Country, people and identity. Learn about Bunjil (the Eagle) the Creator of both biik (Country) and kulin (men), Balliyang (the bat) the Creator of bagarook (women), and Waa (the Crow), the Protector of the Kulin Nation. Learn about Wurundjeri Dreaming stories; why Gurrborra (koala) doesn’t drink water and how the Dulai wurrung (platypus) was created.

Learn about the traditional signi�cance of Tanderrum (Welcome to Country Ceremony), experience cultural games and dance, learn some of our traditional language (Woi wurrung), create a Bunjil’s nest and more.

Education SessionsThe Wurundjeri Tribal Land Council o�er a variety of Education Sessions catering for children right through to Adults. These Education Sessions seek to provide knowledge of the culture and history of the Wurundjeri Tribe.

Sessions can be catered to �t all needs and can include walking tours, ongoing sessions or once o� bookings and can include a Welcome to Country.
