About Me

I was born and raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania

Attended St. Boniface Elementary School and Saint John Neumann Regional Academy

Graduated Valedictorian of my class in 2010

Odyssey of the Mind

OM is a creative problem solving competition

I have been involved in this program since I was in 4th grade

In those 9 years, my team qualified for World Finals seven times, a very difficult feat

Furthermore, my team placed 10th, 6th, 4th, 3rd(twice) and 2nd in the Finals

The Problem

Each year, the Odyssey of the Mind program creates a new problem for each team to solve

My team always choose the vehicle problem

We were able to build many complex and technical devices and I believe OM helped me choose engineering as a major

Judging

OM has a division for college students, but there is little competition.

This year I decided instead to become a judge, and I will be judging at the regional and state competitions

Next year I plan to judge at the World competition, and I am looking forward to staying involved in the program.

In my spare time, I enjoy flying remote control planes

Most of the planes I own are electric because gas powered planes are much more expensive

These planes are very small and some can even be flown in a house.

Golf

During high school, I participated on the varsity golf team and lettered all four years

I continue to play in the summers and I am improving my swing each year
