Editing Process

Oscar Wright

.For the first scene we decided to use a fade in from black.

.For the titles in the opening sequence we used a blurred effect to fade in the titles with a stunned effect, so the title would appear then disappear and appear again when it comes in.

.When we uploaded the footage we found that the lighting was too bright so we used Brightness and contrast and colour balance to bring down the brightness and give the scene a smooth look.

.To achieve the sound of music being played in a small room, reverb made the music in the back ground sound like it is being played in a small room instead of being edited in.

.Before the dramatic scene took place where the masked man enters the scene, we used a burst of small shots to build up the dramatic tension.

.Before the gunshot is heard, we reversed the whole scene and sped the speed up and ended with a gunshot. This makes the scene more dramatic.

.For the last scene we used a black and white filter. This is so that the scene looks more emotional and drained.

.For the running action scenes we slowed down the speed to 40%.

.We ended the film with the title of our film as it fades into black at the same time the dramatic music fades out in the background.
