Mikael Colville-Andersen, CEO of Copenhagenize, will be giving a talk on
Bicycle Culture by Design.
Copenhagenize.com started in 2007, highlighting cycling life in
Copenhagen. Forty years ago Copenhagen was just as car-clogged as
anywhere else, but now 36% of the population arriving at work or education
do so on bicycles, from all over the Metro area. 50% of Copenhageners use
bicycles each day. They all use over 1000 km of bicycle lanes in Greater
Copenhagen for their journeys. Copenhagenizing is possible anywhere.

Cities and nations are often dened by the monuments they erect.
Monuments and structures that stand as historical records of great
moments or periods in history.
Denmark and Copenhagen are no exception. However, one of the
greatest monuments is their bicycle culture and the vast network of bicycle
infrastructure that they have erected as living legacy of sustainable living.
