Create a Poll

• Click on Create Poll

• A video with a text box will pop up. Type your poll question into the text box, and then click on Create

• Then you need to pick the type of response you would like back

Open ended: can type anything, and responses can be shown on a wall, cloud, cluster or ticker

Clickable image: allows student to click on pictures. However, if you want several like this one, you will have to combine them into a single image document. Also, there isn’t a texting option.

Multiple choice: allows students to choose one option quickly…this one is from the beginning of the class.

Add Poll to Power Point

• Most teachers will use this with Power Point because it is easiest for students to see the results. – However, you can add it to email or Outlook

calendar appointment also.

• You will need to install the PollEv Presenter App (and then restart your computer) for this function to work.

• Once you have installed the App you will see a new tab in the Power Point ribbon.

• If your computer is re-imaged over the summer, you will need to do this again.

Add Poll to Power Point Continued

Decide how you want students to respond – website only or are texting okay with you?

*** For younger students: consider providing the links (Web devices or private link) on a single document so they can click and respond.

Make sure to publish the polls by clicking this button…if you don’t the poll won’t work.

Add Poll to Power Point Continued

• Now click on Download Poll Slide

• A new Power Point document will pop up

• You can copy this slide and paste it into your Power Point presentation.

*** You will not see the poll until you put your presentation into Slide Show mode.
