Kunming Customs is making all neces-

sary preparations for the 5th China-South Asia Expo and the 25th Kun-ming Import and Ex-port Fair -- hereinafter referred to collectively as the China-South Asia Expo. The mult i-day event will be held June 14th to 20th.

Kunming Customs, prior to the opening of the China-South Asia

Expo, will implement centralized approval for inbound exhibits when a given organizer or its agents can provide guarantees. With the approval of Customs, exh ib i to r s and the i r agents can apply in ad-vance with their list of exhibits. Related items will then be transferred to the Kunming Dianchi International Conven-t i on and Exh ib i t i on

Centre for examination and clearance process-es, thus speeding up customs clearances and lowering related costs.

When exhibi t ions arrangement are being made, Kunming Cus-toms will give priority to meeting the require-ments of inbound exhib-its for the China-South Asia Expo. Customs will set up an express window for re levant

personnel and materials, implement a seven-day work sys tem fea tur-ing a 24-hour customs clearance appointment system, and provide a temporary on-site su-pervised warehouse to better serve exhibitors and meet the require-ments of customs super-vision.

“ W h e n a g e n t s submi t app l i c a t i ons for their exhibits, Cus-

To fulfil the above tasks, Customs will deploy its human resources in a t ime-ly manner, designate personnel to supervise

the China-South Asia Expo and set up special posts to handle related procedures. In addition, Customs will provide c o n s u l t i n g s e r v i c e s for exhibitors, related agencies and the public through various win-dows at ports, on-site consultation desks, a 12360 hotline, the of-ficial expo website and via other channels.
