How to prepare the CFD server?

Preparing an AWS Account

Apply to http://www.serverworks.co.jp/services/piece

or access to directly https://aws.amazon.com/

Launching a CFD Direct server (EC2) on AWS

Access to the server with SSH

1. Choose your region2. Click “EC2”

Click “Launch instance”

Click

“Community AMIs”

Input “CFD Direct”, and press Enter

Click “Select” of “CFD Direct From the Cloud”

1. Choose an Instance Type you want to use

2. Click “Next: Configure Instance Details”

The default parameter is enough to just use CFD Direct.

Click “Next: Add Storage”

1. Input the size of the Storage

2. Click “Add New Volume”

if you want two or more volumes

3. Click “Next: Tag Instance”

1. Type a Security group name

2. Choose “SSH” 3.

- If you have static global IP address,

choose “Custom IP” and type your IP.

- If you don’t have static global IP address,

choose “Everywhere”. (but not recommended)

Click “Launch”

1. Choose “Create a new key pair”

2. Type a key pair name

Ensure to store the downloaded private key securely, and be careful not to lose.

3. Click “Download Key Pair”

4. Click “Launch instances”

Click “View Instances”

1. Wait until the Status Checks show “2/2 checks passed”

2. Global IP address of your CFD Direct server is shown here

✓ Access to your CFD Direct server with reference to http://cfd.direct/cloud/aws/remote-desktop/
