• Don't hesitate to call. We're here for you 24/7

- There is no charge for calling Technical Support

- Many problems can be resolved during the call.

- Call 1-888-353-5404 and Dial 1 for Technical Support

• Tips When Calling..

- Call when you first sense that you may be spinning your wheels.

- Be Prepared. We’re probably going to ask for the serial number of the

monitor and/or the peripheral that is misbehaving.

- We may ask you to do something you’ve already tried (like turn it off and

back on.) Sometimes we need to get the equipment back to a known

starting point to troubleshoot most efficiently.

- It is very likely we have seen your issue before and know how to

approach a problem you might run into.

Questions

I have a mix of old and new equipment. Are all old peripherals compatible?

Genesis Touch (A1, A2) is compatible with older Honeywell-approved patient monitoring peripherals. The pairing procedures may be different, and the blood pressure unit is a good example. The Genesis Touch Getting Started Guide is your source for understanding pairing procedures.

If you have an A0 monitor, then you are unable to upgrade Genesis Touch software. Upgrading supports connectivity to new peripherals like the Contec CMS50E spO2.

What is in a Glucometer kit?

You may order either a Bayer or J&J Wireless Glucometer Kit from your sales representative. A kit includes a Bluetooth adapter, a folded card of patient instructions and a card that links you to a website to access installation information.

Order the glucometer from the glucometer manufacturer (preferably all from the same source), and test that the glucometer pairs successfully prior to deploying.

Purchase two AAA batteries per glucometer adapter. It is recommended to use a high-capacity battery type. Always change batteries before redeploying.

Questions

Which cellular provider works with the Genesis Touch?

Verizon Wireless provides cellular service if a Wi-Fi service cannot be used at the monitoring site. If using video it is preferred to purchase an expanded cellular data plan from Honeywell due to improved quality and reliability this can provide. Go to our Customer Service website for a link to a Verizon cellular coverage map:https://www.honeywelllifecare.com/customer-service/

How far may peripherals be placed from the Monitor?

Up to 30 feet away as long as there aren’t walls or other things in between the monitor and the peripheral. Consider the patients’ ability to get to the peripherals and place in a convenient place, with all peripherals near the monitor. Since the monitor screen remains lit as a clock, it is preferred to place the monitor wherever a patient may check the time frequently, such as the kitchen table.

I’ve disconnected the Contec oximeter as indicated, but how long should I expect the battery to last?

According to the manufacturer, a charged battery will last up to about 300 readings when fully charged, or for approximately 10-months of daily readings. Leaving the oximeter plugged in and charging may harm the battery life.

© 2015 by Honeywell International Inc. All rights reserved. DP-DC1511.02 E16-0117 12/15/2016 CP412.03

How do I identify monitor version numbers in LifeStream?

Select the Equipment List in LifeStream’s navigation bar. Then reference the

Revision, Model and Serial Number columns. From a central location, this

method helps quickly ID monitors that are turned on and connected to

LifeStream.

I don’t see the Education or Video Buttons on the home screen?

If questions with educational information for the patient have not been chosen,

the Education button will not appear. To enable All Education browsing for

patients on a A1, A2 monitor select Advanced then All Education. The Video

selection is also available in the Advanced setting.

Follow the directions in the post-installation checklist of the Genesis Touch

upgrade instructions to perform a test video visit prior to using the monitor for

video visits. Instructions for entering a meeting identifier are also in the Getting

Started Guide.

Questions

Additional Information• Be aware that Bluetooth pairing can be lost on the new A&D Blood Pressure

monitor (UA-767 PBT-Ci) if the patient holds the button too long (about 5 seconds), or it is inadvertently pressed during transit.

• Other than approved Honeywell peripherals, it is not recommended to have many Bluetooth devices in one room.

• If the tablet has been on the shelf for a while, test the communications before taking it to the patient’s home. If it doesn't transmit, contact Tech Support with the serial number of the tablet for a reset of settings on the Verizon network.

• If one of the volume buttons is inadvertently held down when powering up, the monitor will go into a System Recovery or Boot screen. Follow the on screen instructions to either restart or cancel or call Tech Support. This is most likely to happen if you use an external case on the tablet.

• If the monitor gets through the boot process, but does not automatically launch the Genesis Touch application, try restarting the monitor. If unsuccessful, call Tech Support
