What is E-Rate?

• Administered by the Schools and Library Division (SLD) of the Universal Service Administration Company.

• A program created to assist schools and libraries in providing discounted funding for telecommunications, internet access and internal connections.

• Schools and Libraries must apply for this program.

• Discounts vary depending on the economic status of the community.
