E-COMMERCE

1. Electronic commerce, commonly known as e-commerce, is a type of industry where buying and selling of product or service is conducted over electronic systems such as the Internet and other computer networks.

2. Electronic commerce draws on technologies such as mobile commerce, electronic funds transfer, internet advertising, inventory management systems, and automated data collection systems.

MOBILE COMMERCE

1. The phrase mobile commerce was originally coined in 1997 to mean "the delivery of electronic commerce capabilities directly into the consumer’s hand, anywhere, via wireless technology.“

2. “A retail outlet in your customer’s pocket."3. A report says, in January 2013, 29% of

mobile users have now made a purchase with their phones.

ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER (EFT)

1. Electronic funds transfer (EFT) is the electronic exchange, transfer of money from one account to another, either within a single financial institution or across multiple institutions, through computer-based systems.

ONLINE ADVERTISING

1. Online advertising, also called Internet advertising, uses the internet to deliver promotional marketing messages to consumers.

2. It includes email marketing, search engine marketing, social media marketing, many types of display advertising (including web banner advertising), and mobile advertising.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

1. Inventory management software is a computer-based system for tracking inventory levels, orders, sales and deliveries.

2. It can also be used in the manufacturing industry to create a work order, bill of materials and other production-related documents. Companies use inventory management software to avoid product overstock and outages.
