It’s OK. You’re not the only one who talks to

the dog.

Let me tell you a secret: It’s a great habit.

Dogs listen. They don’t judge.

Every human needs that.

Dogs keep confidences.

You can tell your dog anything and be assured he’ll never repeat it.

Dogs keep us sane.

There’s a good reason you’ve heard the term ‘therapy dogs.’ Dogs reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and a host of

other problems.

You don’t have to be crazy to talk to your

dog.

In fact, no matter how good (or bad) you feel, talking to your dog will make you feel better.

Talking to your dog can be good for your career.

Try out your next presentation on the dog before you deliver it to the animals in the boardroom.

A chat with your furry friend can inspire you.

Dogs have inspired rap artists, authors, and scientists.

Pay attention.

Your dog might be telling you to lighten up. Or to go for a walk. Or to scratch him behind the ears.

You can read the studies, or just take his

advice.

This is no place for fuzzy thinking. Follow your dog’s advice.

Even when you say the dumbest things…

Are you hungry? Stop shedding! Let that squirrel go right now! Did you miss me?

Talking to your dog will make you a better

person.

Trust me. Who doesn’t need someone who will listen, and love, unconditionally?

Talking to your dog will make you a better

parent.

And he’ll never even ask for an allowance.
