Drip irrigation

What is drip irrigation?

•Drip irrigation is a cost-effective and resource-efficient way of watering vegetation in a garden.• Unlike sprinklers and other common forms of irrigation, drip irrigation saves water by allowing for the direct transmission of water to the roots of plants. •Drip irrigation utilizes a network of pipes that are used to carry water under low pressure to plants at a rate much slower than sprinklers.

A positive for plants

•Keeps underlying soil moist •The rapid wetting and drying of plants, which often results from sprinkler irrigation, does not occur with drip irrigation, leading to increased plant health•Prevents disease

It’s environmentally friendly

•Minimized water loss due to wind, rain and runoff•Prevents infrastructure destruction•30 percent more efficient than sprinklers

Money and resource saver

•Saves not only water, but also money and your time•Automatic and manual•Used in dry climates

Our rooftop plan

•We will utilize both more conventional types of drip irrigation and unconventional types such as soaker hoses

•Soaker hoses and drip hoses will be used to irrigate elevated beds

•Trees and potted plants will be watered by hand

•Green panels by hand
