AGENDA
Quick Look - Overviewv6.7 Release Detail
RELEASE OVERVIEW
Central deployment of Windows Agent
With a focus on speed and efficiency, the Windows Server backup agent can now be configured and deployed directly from the management console.
Disaster Recovery for Linux VMs
vDPA now deliverable as a Hyper-V VM
Just as with VMware, the Infrascale appliance now supports an agentless-approach to backing up and recovering Hyper-V environments. This includes both Cloudboot and Local boot options for DR when it comes to Hyper-V Windows VMs.
If you’re running Linux VMs within your VMware environment, you’ll now be able to take advantage of Infrascale’s DR capabilities in addition to backup; notably, cloudboot and localboot. This functionality is supported for the latest Red Hat, SUSE, Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, Oracle and Fedora Linux Server Oss.
Previously, standalone virtual appliances required a target destination for recovery. Now, as long as the vDPA is running within VMware, local is available.
The Infrascale Appliance now supports being deployed in a Hyper-V environment in addition to VMware. Although, this configuration does not support local boot recovery as an option, it does support all other backup and recovery options, including cloudboot.

CENTRAL DEPLOYMENT
Why is it so great? When we save you time, we save you money.
How does it work? Quite easily, actually: • The appliance has required software to setup backup clients• There are OS specific agents and job-type specific agents• Rather than configuring Windows Agents manually, you can now
push these agents from the Appliance with directly remoting into your Windows Machines
What is it? Central deployment means not having to access many endpoints to deploy a solution, and instead have a central place from which to distribute required software.

LOCAL BOOT AVAILABLE FOR
VIRTUALLY DEPLOYED APPLIANCES (vDPA)
READY TO START? Right Click + Boot -> Follow 3 step wizard -> RDP
Previously, standalone virtual appliances required a target destination for recovery. Now, as long as the vDPA is running within VMware, local is available.
This is huge for our Partners and Organizations hosting secondary [virtual] appliances in their own cloud. Now, they have the ability to boot machines directly onto their secondary appliances.
