DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD

Production

Step 1 : I created a white background, where I put the two pictures that I wanted for my DPS, and a blue line, to fill the space at the bottom.

Step 2 : As it would be an interview, I decided to add an introduction, and tried a drops cap, but I was not really satisfied of the result.

Step 3 : Then, I deleted the drops cap, wrote the name of my artist and of the magazine, as they do in music magazine.

Step 4 : I thought about the questions and the answers for my interview and wrote it down.

Step 5 : I had seen many magazines with pull quote in their DPS, so I thought that I would add one as well, to make my audience want to read more. I choose a sentence that I considered powerful enough to directly catch their attention.

Step 6 : I was not really satisfied about my final result, there were too many spaces and the color white was too present. So I inserted the pull quote into the interview, changed the logo’s place and highlighted the first letter of the introduction, as I saw in DPS’ real magazines.

Step 7 : Finally , I rewrote the name of my artist, but with a groovier and smarter font.
