How to Activate the E-Commerce APP
This guide will help explain to the administrator of the LMS how to activate the E-Commerce
APP in order to sell online courses.
The super Administrator has the chance to activate/de-activate and set-up APPS into a LMS.
An APP allows activation or de-activation of some additional functions: Courses Catalogue, E-
Commerce, SSO and more.
To view and set-up an APP click the APPS button in the upper region of the page.
The APPS are divided into:
• My APPS: where you can find all the APPS you have activated.
• Free APPS: where you can find all the APPS you can activate without paying.
• APPS: where you can find all the APPS that can be tested for free before you decide to
buy or not.
In this last category there is also the E-Commerce APP.
We suggest activating the Course Catalog APP – for free – to take advantage of the “divide
your courses into catalogues” function.
Let’s see how to activate the E-Commerce APP:
First, select the APPS button (the orange one).
4
The screen shows all the available APPS. Once you have activated an APP, you will find it in My
APPS.
Pass the mouse through the APP you want to activate. In this case E-Commerce and Courses
Catalog.
Click the Buy Now! button.
Then confirm the action.
As you can see, all the information about the APP will be shown in that page.
To activate the E-Commerce APP, click the Buy Now! Button once more.
5
The Course Catalog and E-
Commerce Apps are now in
the My APPS category.
Now, you have to set-up your
APPS.
Pass the mouse through the
APP and click Set-Up.
To set-up the E-Commerce APP add: Paypal currency code, Currency symbol, and Paypal
Account.
The last option “show the catalog also to non
authenticated users” allows you to show your
course catalog in the login page.
When this operation is done, your homepage
should look like this:

Sell a Course
Once you have activated the E-Commerce APP, decide which courses you want to sell.
Even a single course can be sold.
The image below shows a courses list: the first 3 are on sale and have a price.
To access the Administration function, click E-Learning, choose Courses and click the Edit
Icon.
The E-Commerce function will only be revealed if you have already activated the APP.
7
Flag the option Sell course and establish the price.
Now the course is on sale. Remember to add a description that the user will see during the
buying confirmation page.
You can add the description during the course creation (this description can be edited at any
time).

How the User Can Buy a Course
The courses on sale will be marked with a cart icon.
If the user passes the mouse through the course icon they will see all the information about it
and its price.
The user can then click the Buy Now! icon if they are interested in purchasing the course.
9
To confirm the order, the user has to fill in the form with the billing information and then agree
to the terms and conditions of the service.
If the user accesses the course without the log-in, the LMS will ask them to insert a username
and password.
10
This is what the user will see.
At this stage the course on sale has been added automatically to the cart, so the user can
complete the order.

Check the Transactions
To monitor the payment, Docebo offers users a Transaction tool.
To access Administration, click E-Learning and then Transaction.
Here you will see a list of all your transactions, available to export as a XLS file.
All the users that have completed the buying procedure are marked with a green flag, while all
the users that have not completed the procedure are marked with a grey flag.
