• Import of Parasolid model
• Create an enclosure for extracting external fluid region

Start a New Session
• Start Workbench
• Create a Geometry Component System
• Open a New DesignModeler session as shown here
• On Start of the session, choose meter are unit

Import a Parasolid file of blade model
[Menu] File Import External Geometry File . . .
• Select “blade.x_t” and import it with Default settings
• Press “Generate”

Tip: To change the size of the area surrounding the Enclosure in radial direction, change the value of the FD1
Create an enclosure for extracting external fluid
• Select "Enclosure" from the "Tools" menu
• Select "Cylinder" in Shape input in the Details View
• Press F5 to “Generate”

• On creating an Enclosure, an enclosure body will be created in “Freeze” state as can be seen in the tree

• Select Solid Active (blade) in the tree, select the Hide Body in RMB (right mouse button)
If you hide the blade, you can see the
imprint of blade body in the Enclosure.

Try Different Types of Enclosures
Repeat the Process for different Enclosure Shapes & Cushion Types
