Placement Scores
Rule 6A-10.0315 authorizes assessments and minimum college ready scores for postsecondary course placement purposes
P.E.R.T. Placement interim college ready scores were approved by the State Board of Education in December 2011
The interim scores were identified using results from pilot testing and prior placement rates for the Acculplacer/CPT
Concerns expressed by colleges that placements are too high based on the interim scores
DOE is in the process of analyzing statewide data based on P.E.R.T. Placement scores and student course performance
McCann Associates and the DOE are planning standard setting over summer/early fall to establish permanent cut scores
