Objetives• The students will remember how to apply circles

in perspective: appearance, tricks and techniques for sketching.

• The students will learn different ways to use guide lines, shapes and volumes.

Objetivos• El alumno recordará el manejo de los círculos en

perspectiva: apariencia, técnicas de representación y aplicaciones dentro del boceto.

• El alumno aprenderá sobre las distintas aplicaciones de los volúmenes, líneas guías, etc.

Circles in perspective

Circles in perspective must follow the guide lines of the vanishing point. It’s deformation turns into an ellipse.

Los círculos en perspectiva deben seguir las líneas dirigidas hacia el punto de fuga. Su deformación tiende a darles apariencia de óvalos o elipses.

• To sketch solid of revolution:– Draw a vertical center line.– Draw horizontal lines where

will be a change of shape or width.

– Use the horizontal lines as guides to draw ellipses (this lines are each circle diameter and are used as contour lines)

– Finally draw an outline along the ellipses to trace the object shape/volume.

• Para bocetar sólidos de revolución:– Se traza una línea central que

es el eje. – Trazar líneas horizontales de

distintos tamaños donde se ubicarán los distintos anchos del sólido.

– Sobre las líneas se trazan elipses de distintos tamaños de acuerdo al ancho del objeto (líneas de contorno)

– Finalmente se trazan las líneas que unen cada elipse para generar el volumen externo.

Exercice 7: Use of ellipses

• The students will draw a bottle in sketchbook pro using the cricles, rulers, symmetry, free hand tools and layers.

• Using a base picture they will trace the contour lines (guides and ellipses) and latter finish the general volume.

• Finish the sketch using shadows, lights, brights, textures techniques, different brushes, etc. (use other layer).

• The students will submit two images: one with just the gude lines, and the other would be the finished sketch.

• For: Wednesday september 10th, before 9am.

Ejercicio 8: Uso de elipses• El alumno dibujará una botella en sketchbook pro

utilizando las herramientas de círculos, regletas, simetría, trazo libre y capas.

• Utilizando una imagen base trazará las líneas guías de contorno (guía y elipses) para finalmente trazar el volumen general.

• Aplicará sombras, luces y texturas con achurados, aerógrafo, etc. para dar el acabado del objeto (en otra capa).

• El alumno deberá subir la imagen con líneas guías y la imagen final del trazo con los detalles que haya aplicado, al grupo de Deviantart al folder correspondiente.

• Entrega: Miércoles 10 de septiembre antes de las 9am

Character study:

Exploration in different views, how it would look if you turn it around: lateral, front, back, 3/4s.

Se realiza una exploración de cómo se vería un rostro o un cuerpo en distintas vistas: lateral, frontal, espalda, 3/4s (giro del cuerpo).

Exercise 9: Volume Study• The students will do a character

study using volumes, silhouettes, guide lines, contour lines, etc.

• Will draw a chibi of themselves, at least 3 explorations and one in color with better quality, details and color. (4 drawings)

• Lines must be determined, not shaky or furry, apply guide lines. You can use other techniques as shadows with achurados, lights, brights and color to understand the volume.

• For: Wednesday september 10th, before 9am.

Ejercicio 9: Estudio con volúmenes

• El alumno hará un estudio de personaje utilizando volúmenes, siluetas, lanzamiento de líneas y contornos.

• Realizará un chibi de sí mismo, mínimo 3 exploraciones y un dibujo final con detalles y color (total 4 dibujos).

• Las líneas deben ser firmes, sin temblorina, aplicando líneas de contorno y guías. También pueden aplicar sombras (achurados), luces, brillos y color para comprender mejor el volumen.

• Al terminar subirán el archivo en la carpeta del grupo.
